This is a 40-hour course consisting of the 24-hour ISO 19011 Auditor Certificate course, plus an additional 16-hour Audit Team Leadership module. This course is based on the latest ISO 19011 principles and includes practical, realistic audit workshops geared towards effectively planning and executing third-party, second party and internal audits. The first 16 hours of this course covers theoretical fundamentals which should be completed on-line.

This course consists of the Auditor Course plus a special module for Audit Team Leadership. The Audit Team Leadership course material is generic for ANY standard and is divided into different sessions as follows:

Session L1 – Audit Program Administration – Lecture (General approach applicable for all standards)

Session L2 – Developing an Audit Program – Workshop (General approach applicable for all standards)

Session L3 – Audit Meeting Management – Lecture (General approach applicable for all standards)

Session L4– Preparing and Conducting the Closing Meeting – Workshop (General approach applicable for all standards)

Session L5 – Audit Follow-Up – Lecture (General approach applicable for all standards)

Session L6 – Audit Follow-Up Role Play – Workshop (General approach applicable for all standards)

Students wishing to attain a trained LEAD AUDITOR Certificate for more than one standard are required to complete 15 additional hours for each additional standard for which to be certified in. These additional 15 hours of training include participation in the ISO Management System Fundamentals course for the additional standard, plus 7 hours of additional auditing assignments/case studies specific to the additional standard.

Teaching Methodology

Our methodology is practical and is based on the analysis of actual cases allowing the participant to obtain an appropriate balance of theory and practice, thereby facilitating learning and performance.


This course includes supporting materials and interactive workshops that help students achieve the learning objectives.

Students must also complete a pre-course assignment which is to be reviewed during the second day of the course.

The students must purchase the standards at prior to attending the course.


This course includes the 8-hour “Fundamentals of each specific standard” and an 8 hour ISO 19011 module which should be completed online prior to attending the 3 day audit skills development workshop portion. To obtain the “Certificate of Successful Completion”, the participant should:

A. Pass the continuous evaluation attending the on site sessions and completing the workshops in the defined time.

B. Pass the 120 minute final test with a minimum of 70%
Those who do not pass have the option of re-taking the exam for a nominal fee of US$150 (plus travel expenses, if applicable)
